El prop\u00f3sito de dicho programa consist\u00eda en explorar las posibilidades de fundar una sede del CIESAS en el norte del pa\u00eds. De esta manera, en 2004 se toma la decisi\u00f3n de trasladar el Programa Noreste a la ciudad de Monterrey, para aprovechar las posibilidades de vinculaci\u00f3n con otras instituciones educativas, y el contexto m\u00e1s central de esta urbe. El cambio se concreta en la segunda mitad de ese a\u00f1o y fue hasta 2014 cuando se le confiere el nombramiento de Unidad Regional Noreste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre sus primeras actividades acad\u00e9micas destaca el diplomado Teor\u00eda y Pr\u00e1ctica de la Antropolog\u00eda Social, cuya primera edici\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 en 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Programa de maestr\u00eda en Antropolog\u00eda Social Sureste\/Noreste inici\u00f3 labores en 2014. Este posgrado es ofertado de manera conjunta con la Unidad Sureste (San Crist\u00f3bal de las Casas, Chiapas). Asimismo, de esta disciplina, es el \u00fanico que est\u00e1 inscrito en el Programa Nacional de Posgrados de Calidad (PNPC) del Consejo Nacional de Humanidades, Ciencias y Tecnolog\u00edas (CONAHCYT); adem\u00e1s, funciona como un enlace m\u00e1s dentro del Sistema Nacional de Formaci\u00f3n del CIESAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <a href=\"https:\/\/noreste.ciesas.edu.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unidad Regional Noreste<\/a> representa un fuerte impacto en el \u00e1mbito docente, de investigaci\u00f3n y divulgaci\u00f3n del conocimiento. A trav\u00e9s de la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento y la formaci\u00f3n de recursos humanos, esta sede se ha convertido en el referente m\u00e1s importante de las Ciencias Sociales y la Antropolog\u00eda Social en el noreste de M\u00e9xico.
